Longitudinal and transverse flows extracted from the rapidity and
azimuthal distributions of protons produced in -
collisions in the energy range from 2 to 8A
at the
Brookhaven Alternating-Gradient Synchrotron (AGS) are
investigated by a simple model. The elliptic and directed flow
characteristics extracted from the azimuthal distribution at the
AGS energies are described by a simple formula. The Monte Carlo
calculated results are compared and found to be in agreement with
the experimental data of the E895 Collaboration.
