Abstract
Numerical simulation is employed to study dynamical
heterogeneities in model monoatomic harmonic glasses, whose atoms
interact trough the Lennard-Jones potential. Soft and hard
vibrational heterogeneities are observed, and a temperature effect
on these heterogeneities is found. A method is proposed to
evaluate the size of the heterogeneities.
