In a recent letter [Bariev R. Z., Klümper A. and Zittartz J., Europhys. Lett. bf 32, 1995, 85.], a Hamiltonian for a system of correlated electrons in one-dimension was presented. (...) The objective of this comment is to make it apparent that the above model, with appropriate modifications, is the quantum analogue of the supersymmetric U model of ref.[2]. [2] Bracken A.
