Molecular-dynamics simulation of particle ejection from solid neon has been carried out for the first time. We have studied the emission dynamics in the lattice around a 3s exciton in the near-surface layers. Excited- as well as ground-state atoms are ejected as a result of lattice relaxation. The energy of ejected particles agrees well with existing experimental results.
