Frequencies of transverse acoustic phonons were measured by inelastic neutron
scattering on single crystals of the organic superconductor
. Significant frequency
changes were observed for phonon energies close to the superconducting energy
gap
on cooling the sample below the superconducting transition
temperature
. The observed relative shifts are large
compared to those in the classical superconductor Nb and also larger than the
shifts found recently in the high-Tc superconductor
.
