The presence of inhomogeneities has a great impact on the behavior
of the heat capacity, particularly near the critical temperature.
An expression for is derived for this case, and is used
to calculate the temperature dependence of the upper critical
field. The analysis is in good agreement with the experimental
data for overdoped cuprates.
