We present measurements of the surface-height-frequency spectrum for capillary ripples, exploiting the diffusing light technique developed by Wright et al. (Phys. Rev. Lett., 76 (1996) 4528). The scaling behavior and cross-over phenomenon we observe provide direct support to the weak-turbulence theory of surface waves.
