In this letter we study the quantum scattering problem of one electron by a screw dislocation in the framework of the Katanaev-Volovich theory of defects in solids. We find the scattering amplitude for the problem and demonstrate that the scattering is of Aharonov-Bohm type. We observe Berry's phase in the dynamics of the electrons in the presence of a screw dislocation.
