We report on numerical simulations of cylindrical and spherical soliton interactions based on the Zakharov-Kuznetsov model. Questions that cannot be answered analytically, such as their exchange character, elasticity or otherwise, as well as possible oscillations and/or displacements, are resolved. The much heralded soliton-elementary particle analogy is strengthened.
PACS: 52.35.Sb – Solitons, BGK modes / 47.20.Ky – Nonlinearity (including bifurcation theory) / 52.35.Py – Plasma macroinstabilities (hydromagnetic, e.g. kink, fire-hose, mirror, ballooning, tearing, trapped-particle, flute, Rayleigh-Taylor, etc.)
