Glasses of the
system
with
were studied using magnetic susceptibility measurements. The magnetic
behaviour of these glasses is due to the presence of
ions in the glass matrix.
For the
glasses with
the
magnetic neodymium ions appear as isolated species. For higher x values these glasses present a
mictomagnetic-type magnetic behaviour and both isolated and antiferromagnetically coupled
pairs appear in the host glass matrix.
