Accepted: 10 September 2001
An analysis of data of pions emitted from ultra-relativistic nuclear interactions initiated by at 60 and at 200 reveals the existence of emission asymmetry in the azimuthal plane which is found to depend on the number of pions but to be nearly independent of projectile mass and energy.
