Experimental evidence for a small s-wave component in the order parameter of underdoped

We report conductance measurements in underdoped tunneling junctions of the ramp type, oriented along different directions in the ab plane. We find that the -wave gap is suppressed in the region near the node, but has a non-zero value of at the node. This result supports the existence of a sub-dominant is component in the order parameter of underdoped .
