We investigate, mostly analytically, the nature of the Fulde-Ferrell-Larkin-Ovchinnikov superfluid phases for an isotropic two-dimensional superconductor, which is relevant for the experimental observation of these phases. We show that there is, in the low-temperature range, a cascade of transitions toward order parameters with ever increasing complexity.
