The properties of strange neutron stars have been studied with the use of the parameter sets stemming from the effective field theory. The impact of the strength of hyperon interactions on neutron star masses has been analyzed. The inclusion of additional nonlinear meson interaction terms together with the strong hyperon-hyperon interaction leads to the existence of additional stable stellar configurations.
