This work presents a novel method for estimating the degree distributions of coupled chaotic oscillator networks via time series obtained from controlled measurements of networks stable dynamics. The proposed method does not require explicit analytical knowledge of the dynamic system, and can be applied to networks with various topological structures. This work focuses on networks with around 10% of possible connections between vertices, although the method generally succeeds with lesser accuracy for higher connectivity percentages. No study has evaluated the degree distribution from measured time series only. Furthermore, the proposed scheme is very robust against noise.
