A scaling approach to the description of the dynamic textures of the order parameter field in a nematic liquid crystal is proposed. Such textures appear in a system under dissipative motions with the participation of extended objects: topological defects and suspended particles. The main idea of the approach is to transfer the law of the interaction between extended objects to the host system by redefining its spatiotemporal scales. I call this procedure the interactive scaling. Equations for the nematic director field are derived, and their disclination and monopole solutions are found. It is conjectured that the new type of topological defects, pipes, may exist.
