Symmetry and electrostatic equilibrium in europium compounds are revisited with the aim of improving the role of obtaining the charge factors (gj), of the nearest neighbours (NN) of the lanthanide site, j running over the NN, now using the gj vs. Rj (the NN position) linear behaviour. An inferior limit of the gj position is predicted. Further, an indication that the and
crystal field parameters may not exactly depend on gj or Rj in the same way as the
parameter is, at least, made.
