Reliable and achievable quantum information processing depends greatly on high-efficiency and successful manipulation of non-classical correlations in quantum systems. In this letter, our result manifests that these correlations characterized by entanglement and quantum discord are influenced profoundly by the highly controllable relative phase difference, which originates from the time delay between coherent double laser pulses, and therefore demonstrates its importance in manipulating such relations. In particular, coherent trapping of entanglement and quantum discord is accomplished under certain conditions.
