Electromagnetic oscillations have been investigated in one-dimensional quasicrystal constructed by dielectric and negative permeability multilayers. Bloch-like oscillations are found in either double-period or Fibonacci quasiperiodic structure, even when no thickness gradient is introduced in the dielectric layer. The average temporal periodicity of the oscillation can be predicted by frequency spectrum with either a Wannier-Stark ladder profile or with a particular profile. Various characteristics are studied, such as electric field pattern of the scattering states and transmission behaviors in both frequency and temporal domain.
