Stability of dibaryon (Ξ0Ξ−) in the quasiparticle model

In this work, we investigate the properties of the dibaryon (Ξ0Ξ−) within the framework of the quasiparticle model. The binding energy, the radius as well as the mean lifetime of (Ξ0Ξ−) are calculated. It is found that the dibaryon (Ξ0Ξ−) is metastable against strong and weak processes. The dependence of the stability of the strangelets on the model parameters is discussed. These results suggest that the (Ξ0Ξ−) dibaryon is a good candidate for being observed experimentally.
