We show the possibility of three-port asymmetric (three-port ordered-route) light transmission in a linear, time-independent and non-magnetic structure of photonic crystals. A two-dimensional (2-D) hybrid structure of two photonic crystals, one of circular and the other of elliptic dielectric rods in air background with three ports has been considered to demonstrate this possibility. The structure favours optical propagation in the order A→B, B→C, C→A, while, optical propagation in the opposite order (A→C, C→B, B→A) is unfavourable.
