We demonstrate that under certain circumstances a chaotic system driven by another chaotic system implies stable periodicity. This effect of enhancing coherence in the response system can occur when the uncoupled response system is close to a periodic window and the coupling strength is sufficiently small. The effect is illustrated with logistic maps and Rulkov maps unidirectionally coupled by either their functions or variables.
