In this letter we find that a two-dimensional elastic wave equation could be decoupled into longitudinal and transverse modes for specific Lamé coefficient profiles. Based on previous electromagnetic conformal invisible devices, we propose the first elastic conformal transparent device in two dimensions without thin-plate approximations (an elastic transparent device is an object that is “invisible” for both longitudinal and transverse waves in a solid background). Numerical simulations are performed to verify the transparent functionalities.
