We compute the classical and the quantum breaking of the dilatation current in the minimal Lorentz and CPT-violating quantum electrodynamics. At the classical level, scale symmetry is broken by the general mass term and the Chern-Simons–like term. At the quantum level, it is broken by all expected observable fermion operators in the massless limit.
