In probing the internal structures of halo systems through breakup reactions, the attention is largely reserved to the ground and continuum structures of the weakly bound projectile. In this paper, it is shown that some breakup features can be revealed by focusing on the projectile atomic mass, which is found to be a significant quantitative parameter in the breakup process.
