In this work we propose a model with vector fields as dark constituents for describing a universe in transition to a final accelerated regime. Those sources include a self-interaction potential; they exchange energy with ordinary matter and radiation through the gravitational field. The particular role of that potential is fundamental for this universe dynamics to be in tune with observational data.
