Abstract
The quadratic response function (QRF) of a dense plasma in a constant magnetic field to an electromagnetic field is considered. To determine this function, a self-consistent model approach was applied based on the use of the quadratic fluctuation-dissipative theorem (FDT), frequency moments for the quadratic dense plasma reaction function, and explicit approximation for QRF with a fitting parameter. The conditions of using QRF for the interpretation of laboratory experiments on the study of nonlinear phenomena caused by the quadratic interaction of electromagnetic waves in a dense charged medium (Coulomb systems, plasma) in a constant magnetic field are discussed.
