We study a strong-coupling theory beyond the Migdal theorem, considering a spin fluctuation coupling potential within an s-wave symmetry in strongly correlated systems in a pseudogap regime. The influence of vertex effects on both the potential and the solutions of the resulting Eliashberg-like equations is discussed for the different band conditions and coupling strength.
