Fragmentation of a spreading drop

The spreading of a liquid on another one is studied experimentally in the case of an insoluble surfactant on a more viscous liquid sublayer. Temporal power-laws behaviour for the expansion of the surfactants is observed and compared with simple scaling laws. The dynamics of fragmentation of the remaining lens is described.
