In this letter we investigate the method of synchronization between two different time-delayed systems. A suitable controller is chosen using the active control method where the parameters of the driving and response systems are all known and kept into their corresponding chaotic state. Sufficient conditions for synchronization are also shown analytically using the Krasovskii-Lyapunov functional approach. Numerical results show the effectiveness of the proposed method. Later this synchronization method is used for building a robust cryptosystem which can transmit an encrypted image.
