The exciton scattering approach is applied to describe an exciton-exciton interaction problem in an excitonic linear aggregate. An analytic expression for the scattering amplitude is derived for an infinite periodic system. The result allows to obtain a typical spectral lineshape of the main resonance of the J aggregate in the coherent third-order two-dimensional spectra. The obtained functional form of the scattering allows to suggest a universal expression of the scattering amplitude for delocalized excitons in realistic systems.
